Technical Description
Application:
Heating installations for two-pipe systems - pumped circulation.
Kvs, complete set:
0.75
Kv DT2°C, complete set:
0.60
Maximum working temperature:
120°C
Minimum working temperature:
-10°C
Nominal pressure: PN 10
Maximum differential pressure:
The maximum pressure difference allowed for the valve not to open
against a closed thermostat is 100 kPa.
The maximum recomended pressure
drop in order to avoid noise: 30 kPa.
Materials:
Body: hot stamped brass.
Valve stem: brass.
O-rings: EPDM rubber.
Connection pipes: steel.
TRV 400: See data sheet 1-5-16.
Radiator connection, Banjo: Brass.
Other radiator connections: AMETALŪ.
Surface finish:
Nickel-plated.
Shut-off:
TWORETT can be shut off so that radiators and valves can be removed
without draining the system.
Identification:
The distributors are marked with TA and a flow arrow on the valve body.
The valve cap is marked with RSD 802, 2-pipe.
Tool for shut-off:
6 mm Allen key.
Operation
General:
The valve is supplied with a protective cap (1), for control and shut-off. It can
be fitted with either a hand-wheel for manual control or a thermostathead for
automatic control.
TRV 300 thermostat:
As the room temperature rises, the thermostat closes the valve by pressing
the disc (2) on to its seat (3). As the temperature falls, the valve is
opened by its return spring (4).
Presetting
Preset the TWORETT two-pipe manifold fitted with TRV 400 valves and thermostats using the 50 400-003
presetting tool. The TRV 400 valve is delivered preset
to a Kv value of 0.19. The flow through the valve can be steplessly adjusted by
varying the width of the flow passage (6) in the valve body by adjusting the
position of the presetting sleeve (5). 1. Remove the protective cap (1).
2. Fit the presetting tool (7) and set the
required value. 3. Refit the protective cap or thermostat.
When the unit is set to higher Kv values, there will be a slight difference relative
to the TRV 400, due to the fact that the
values shown in the diagram are valid for the entire manifold. The Kv values
will therefore be slightly lower, as the
pressure drop in the diverter, connections and pipes are included in
the measurement.
